World Horror Convention (Portland, Oregon) May 8-11, 2014 Can’t wait for this! It’s going to be a bit of a reunion of Keycon 30, with Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Lee Moyer, Ann Aguirre, and GMB Chomichuk reprising our shenanigans.

Keycon 31 (Winnipeg) May 16-18, 2014 My home convention! Always a blast. So far announced guests include David Gerrold, Tanya Huff and Silvia Moreno-Garcia.

Manitoba Writers’ Guild and Writers’ Collective NaNoWriMo Kickoff (Winnipeg) November 1st, 2014 from 6pm-10pm. I’ll be doing a short reading at 8:30pm and offering words of inspiration to writers tackling National Novel Writing Month. Also reading, Chris Rutkowski (6:30pm) and Samantha Beiko (7:30pm).

Novel Writing Club (Winnipeg) Tuesdays, 6-9 p.m. November, 25, December 16, 2014, and January 13, February 10, March 10, April 7, May 5, and June 9, 2015. In collaboration with the Manitoba Writers’ Guild, the Winnipeg Public Library will be hosting a novel writing club to offer emerging novelists the opportunity to work with a mentor (that’s me!) for a seven month period.
